A woman decided to not pay her food bill at a Waffle House and rather go to jail. Her bill? $7.45. So she was arrested and jailed.
According to a police report, Maryanne O’Neill, 66, ordered coffee and a sandwich at a Waffle House restaurant on Saturday but refused to pay the bill.
The report said an officer asked her to pay or go to jail and she refused.
A jail official says she was released Monday from the St. Lucie County Jail. She is charged with obtaining food or lodging with intent to defraud, a second degree misdemeanor. If convicted of a second degree misdemeanor
For once the police are not the dumbasses on TC. I’m usually for people’s right BUT why this woman wasn’t tasered and beaten is beyond me. She’s 66 so i’m sure she got all old and pissy on everybody in the Waffle House. God old people suck.
