The “have size, will travel” basketball odyssey that’s taken 7-foot-9, 370-pound Sun Ming Ming from China to California to Kansas to North Carolina made its latest stop Wednesday in the back room of a Chinese restaurant in this tony Washington, D.C., suburb.
That’s where the Maryland Nighthawks of the American Basketball Association introduced their newest player, a man they’re touting as the tallest in the history of professional basketball.

Tara Conner, who nearly lost her crown for hard-partying in New York nightclubs, says in the upcoming issue of People magazine that her recent stint in rehab was a wake-up call.
“I didn’t think I had an issue — but I was willing to do anything to save my job. … I’ve realized that I suffer from the disease of alcoholism and addiction,” says Conner, who logged in 31 days at the Caron Foundation rehab center in Wernersville, Pa.

According to Variety.com, shooting has begun in Shreveport, Louisiana on the sequel to HAROLD & KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE.
Eric Winter has joined the cast alongside John Cho (Harold) and Kal Penn (Kumar) in the untitled sequel that will be directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg who also wrote the film.
Winter will play a politician’s son who is engaged to Kumar’s ex-girlfriend.
