Kanye West has lashed out at Britney Spears’ upcoming performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards.

“I can’t believe she would perform,” he told the Associated Press. “She hasn’t had a hit record in years.”

“Maybe my money’s not right. Maybe my skin’s not right,” he said.

A rep for Spears could not be reached at press time.

50 cent believes his new album will outsell Kanye West’s upcoming disc, and he’s betting his solo career on it.

“Let’s raise the stakes,” the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop Web site SOHH.com in an interview posted Friday. “If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer write music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out anymore solo albums.”

An e-mail sent to West’s publicist wasn’t immediately returned Friday.

I would go buy 100 copies of Kanye’s CD but i doubt 50 would actually quit. If he put it in writing i’d definitely go buy 100 Kanye cd’s. Anyone agree? you wanna return to the “Candy Shop?” me either so lets help 50 retire!

While fans of both rappers have relished in the friendly rivalry that seems to be brewing between the pair over the release date, 50 Cent has actually accepted a challenge to debate Kanye West on live TV.

50 Cent appeared on BET’s 106 & Park countdown show on Friday to promote his upcoming album Curtis.

During the show, he accepted an offer from hosts Terrance J. and Rocsi to engage Kanye West in a presidential style “debate” to decide who has the best album, weeks before their albums hit stores.

Kanye West has hired Madonna’s choreographer to turn his upcoming tour into a dance spectacular.

The rapper will hit the road later this year to promote his third album, Graduation, and he was determined to bring dance expert Jamie King on board after marvelling at what the choreographer did for Madonna.

West tells Mtv News, “I saw the last Madonna concert and I’ve been sitting down vibing with him, ’cause I want to bring the level of entertainment up another level.”

Kanye West says he’s “ready to take over the world once again”.

In an interview with MTV.com, the rap superstar has revealed what fans can expect from his next album Graduation, which is due out in the autumn.

He explains: “I think the sound is bigger this time. It’s bigger and simpler, where the notes really connect with you.”

The six-times Grammy award-winner certainly seems to be feeling the pressure to come up with the goods.

“I have to deliver songs,” he says. “All these people are looking at me from super-middle America to the hipsters like, ‘What’s he gonna do next?’.”

What is he talking about? He already took over the world. Didn’t he like change the Bible or something?

Both the princes are expected to make a stage appearance at some point during the five-hour event.

The concert is being held on what would have been Diana’s 46th birthday. “It’s got to be the best birthday present she ever had,” Prince William said in a statement.
